We are the professional PVDF Piezoelectric Film Sensor/Transducer element‌ manufacturer in China

The PVDF Piezoelectric Film Sensor is a type of sensor that utilizes the piezoelectric effect to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.

When mechanical stress is applied to certain materials, charges proportional to the stress appear on the surface; these materials are called piezoelectric materials. Piezoelectric materials include piezoelectric crystals, piezoelectric ceramics, and piezoelectric polymers.
When you stretch or bend a piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer film (piezoelectric film), a signal (charge or voltage) will be generated between the upper and lower electrode surfaces of the film, and it will be proportional to the degree of stretching or bending.
Piezoelectric thin films possess unique characteristics; as a dynamic strain sensor, they are highly sensitive to dynamic stress.

We use our PVDF Piezoelectric Film to produce many kinds of Sensors:

PVDF Transducer

PVDF-Transducer
The PVDF transducer is an ultrasonic device made of piezoelectric films of polyvinylidene fluoride. It mainly converts electrical energy into acoustic energy (or vice versa) by utilizing the piezoelectric effect of the material. Its main features include a wide frequency band, flexibility, and low acoustic impedance. It is particularly suitable for medical imaging, non-destructive testing, and measurement of complex structures.
An ultrasonic sensor is made using PVDF piezoelectric film and is applied to the annular and linear array probes of 5, 7.5, and 10 MHz B-ultrasound diagnostic instruments, as well as the probes of 20 - 80 MHz industrial ultrasonic detection instruments. Compared with the commonly used PZT (piezoelectric ceramic) probes, it has a significant improvement in sensitivity and accuracy. The medical ultrasonic sensor made from this film has a simple structure, high sensitivity, and excellent matching with the mechanical impedance of the human body surface. It is used in devices such as finger pulse meters, blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, cardiac rhythm monitors, and fetal heart sound detectors.
1. Center frequency: Common ranges are from 1 MHz to 50 MHz. Different models cover different frequency bands. Research-grade focusing probes typically use frequencies above 5 MHz.
2. Bandwidth and pulse response: PVDF transducers usually have a wide bandwidth and short pulses, making them suitable for high-resolution imaging and wide-band measurement.
3. Focusing method: It can be made into non-focused, spherical focused, or cylindrical focused. The focal distance and the diameter of the active element can be customized according to requirements.
4. Operating environment: Most are designed for immersion use.
